Toddler among 11 injured when car strikes people at child’s birthday party in Maryland

A child s birthday party was tragically interrupted when a conveyance plowed into a group of people in Bladensburg Maryland leaving injured Saturday night Seven of the people were children between the ages of and years old according to the Prince George s County Fire EMS Department The Bladensburg Police Department commented officers responded to the block of th Avenue just north of Annapolis Road for a motor carriage collision at p m It commented a carriage traveling from the area of Annapolis Road struck several people gathered in front of a home for a child s birthday party Then the driver ran away from the scene All seven children were transported to Children s National Hospital Four others were transported to area hospitals including the Capital Regional Healthcare Center and Howard University Hospital The Prince George s County Fire EMS Department mentioned two of the children transported to Children s National Hospital were in critical condition the other five were in serious condition Bladensburg Police explained the driver s identity the whereabouts of the driver and the cause of the crash are under assessment Anyone with information is solicited to contact detectives at - - A map of the area where the carriage crash happened is below Courtesy Google Maps Source
